As part of the 160th anniversary celebrations of , students of Auckland House School and jointly presented the musical “FAME” at Auckland House Auditorium on May 16 and Bishop Cotton School on May 17. The celebrations concluded with a grand finale performance at Gaiety Theatre on May 19, 2026.
Inspired by the iconic movie of the same name, the musical celebrated dreams, talent, passion, and the journey of young performers striving to achieve excellence in the world of performing arts. Through energetic dance performances, powerful music, and compelling acting, the students brought alive the spirit of creativity, determination, and self-expression.
The event reflected the rich legacy of Auckland House School and its continued commitment to nurturing talent and holistic development among students.
The Chief Guest for 16th May was Sohaila Kapur, renowned theatre personality, actress, playwright, director, and television anchor. Widely respected for her remarkable contribution to Indian theatre and performing arts, she has been associated with numerous acclaimed productions and cultural initiatives. Her inspiring presence added immense prestige to the celebration, and she applauded the students and organisers for presenting a production of such high artistic standards.
Special Guest, Anuradha Dar, an accomplished academician and education leader, appreciated the institution’s commitment towards nurturing creativity, confidence, and holistic development among students. She commended the collaborative efforts of AHS and BCS in organising a programme that blended entertainment with meaningful artistic expression.
Ashish Kohli, Director of Elementary Education, graced the event as the Guest of Honour.
The distinguished guests appreciated the outstanding performances by the students and congratulated the school management, teachers, and organisers for successfully presenting a musical of such scale and excellence.
