Solan: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 24-year-old woman after a car reportedly went out of control and plunged nearly 150 feet into a gorge near Dochi area close to Sadhu Pul in Kandaghat subdivision of Solan district on Tuesday.
According to reports, the vehicle suddenly skidded off the road before falling into a nearby nullah. Five people were travelling in the car at the time of the accident. While the young woman died on the spot, four other occupants sustained injuries.
Locals and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. The deceased and the injured are said to be residents of Koti village in Shimla district.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
