In a significant move aimed at enhancing convenience for its loyal members, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has expanded the scope of its Platinum, Gold and Silver Membership Card Scheme by extending its benefits to the immediate family members of cardholders. The decision is expected to make HPTDC’s hospitality services more accessible and family-friendly, allowing parents, spouse and children of registered members to independently enjoy the privileges associated with the membership cards.

As per an official order issued by the HPTDC Corporate Office in Dharamshala, eligible family members will now be able to avail accommodation and restaurant benefits under the respective membership category even if the cardholder is not accompanying them during their stay or while dining at HPTDC establishments. Earlier, these benefits were generally linked to the presence of the primary cardholder.
To avail the facility, the concerned family member will be required to present the membership card details along with a valid government-issued identity proof at the time of check-in or while availing restaurant services. The corporation has clarified that all other existing terms and conditions governing the Platinum, Gold and Silver Card Schemes will remain unchanged.
The communication has been circulated to all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs), Unit Managers and Marketing Offices of HPTDC within and outside Himachal Pradesh, directing them to ensure immediate and uniform implementation of the revised guidelines across all HPTDC hotels and restaurants.
The latest decision is expected to add greater value to HPTDC’s membership programmes by providing increased flexibility to members and encouraging family travel across the corporation’s network of hotels and hospitality units in Himachal Pradesh.
