Baddi, May 3: The School of Agricultural Sciences (SOAS) at Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology (BUEST) successfully organized a Farmer Awareness and Educational Camp at Shri Vishwakarma Mandir, Panjehra, on May 3, 2026. The initiative was aimed at promoting agricultural advancement and technical awareness among the rural farming community.
The programme was conducted under the Rural Agricultural Work Experience and Agro-Industrial Attachment (RAWE & AIA) framework in collaboration with local social worker Mr. Deepak Poswal (Deepu Panjehra).
During the camp, farmers were educated about modern agricultural techniques, crop management practices, organic farming, agricultural innovations, and agro-industrial opportunities. Experts encouraged farmers to adopt advanced technologies and sustainable farming practices to improve productivity and strengthen the rural economy.
University representatives stated that such awareness programmes play an important role in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical farming practices while also creating stronger engagement with rural communities.
A large number of farmers, students, and local residents participated enthusiastically in the event, which received an encouraging response from the community.
