Shimla, June 11: Preparations for the upcoming Census 2027 have gained momentum in Junga, where a three-day training workshop for supervisors and enumerators concluded under the leadership of Tehsildar Kartikeya Sharma. A total of 36 personnel, including six supervisors and 30 enumerators, participated in the training program.
During the workshop, all supervisors and enumerators took an oath to perform their census duties with honesty, dedication, and responsibility.
Tehsildar Kartikeya Sharma informed that the training covered all aspects of the census process to ensure smooth implementation of the first phase of Census 2027, which focuses on house listing and household enumeration. To facilitate the exercise, Junga Tehsil has been divided into 77 house-listing blocks.
He appealed to residents of Junga Tehsil to actively participate in the self-enumeration process and submit census-related information through the online portal by June 15. He noted that the census will be conducted entirely through digital means this time.
The first phase of the census campaign will be carried out from June 16 to July 15, 2026, during which supervisors and enumerators will conduct door-to-door visits to collect information on houses and families.
The training workshop was conducted by Master Trainers Ramanand and Mohit, while Office Kanungo Arvind Kumar also played a key role in providing census-related guidance.
