Shimla, July 13
Rajeev Kumar, Additional Private Secretary (PPS) to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has been cleared for induction into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) after the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting held in New Delhi.
Rajeev Kumar, a senior Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officer, is among the state civil service officers recommended for elevation to the IAS cadre under the promotion quota. The UPSC DPC’s approval marks a significant milestone in his administrative career, paving the way for his formal induction into the prestigious All India Service after the Centre issues the final notification.
Currently serving as the Chief Minister’s Additional PPS, Rajeev Kumar has held several key administrative assignments in Himachal Pradesh and is regarded as an experienced officer in the state bureaucracy. His induction into the IAS is expected to strengthen the senior administrative cadre of the state.
