Shimla, May 8: The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) on Thursday constituted a war room for the upcoming Municipal Corporation and Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) elections in the state.
According to a notification issued by HPCC general secretary (organisation) Vinod Zinta, party president Vinay Kumar approved the appointments with immediate effect.
Hari Krishan Himral has been appointed as in-charge of the war room, while Yashpal Tanaik will serve as co-incharge and Ripna Kalsaik as convenor.
For war room coordination, Capt S.K. Sehgal has been named coordinator, with Neeraj Bakshi, Usha Mehta and Sanjeeta Chauhan appointed as co-coordinators. Reena Kumari and Ankita Verma have been named members.
The Congress also constituted a legal cell comprising advocates Naresh Verma, Yashveer Singh Rathore and Deepak Sumpha.
For social media coordination, Advitya Dhindora, Akshit Nanda and Parul Rathore have been included in the team.
