The Himachal Pradesh government on Friday carried out a major reshuffle in the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS), transferring and posting 22 officers with immediate effect. The notification was issued by the Department of Personnel under the orders of the Governor.

Among the key changes, Sachin Kanwal (HPAS-2009) has been shifted from Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Shimla, while Bhupender Kumar (HPAS-2009) has been appointed Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh General Industries Corporation Ltd.
Gian Sagar Negi (2011) has been posted as Additional District Magistrate (Protocol), Shimla, while Jyoti Rana (2012) becomes Registrar, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. Dr. Laj Ram Verma (2012) has been appointed Managing Director, HIMFED.
Shilpi Beakta (2012) continues as Additional Secretary (PWD), while Vikas Shukla (2013) has been posted as Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Hamirpur. Sunny Sharma (2014) has been shifted as SDO (Civil), Shimla (Urban).
Vishrut Bharati (2016) has been appointed Member Secretary, HP State Commission for SCs at Una, while Yogesh Chauhan (2016) takes charge as Additional Director, Medical Education & Research. Poonam (2017) has been posted as Additional Director, Dr. Y.S. Parmar Government Medical College, Nahan.
Sanjay Kumar (2017) has been appointed General Manager, HP Medical Services Corporation Ltd., and Vishwa Mohan Dev Chauhan (2019) has been posted as SDO (Civil), Kupvi.
Munish Kumar Sharma (2020) has been appointed Joint Director, Medical Education & Research, while Oshin (2021) joins as Joint Director, Ayush. Mohan Lal (2023) has been posted as Regional Transport Officer, Shimla.
Further, Kapil Tomar (2023) has been appointed Joint Director, Youth Services & Sports, Raj Kumar-II (2023) becomes SDO (Civil), Bilaspur, Padma Chhodon (2023) has been posted as SDO (Civil), Udaipur, Neerja Sharma (2024) as SDO (Civil), Solan, and Alisha Chauhan (2025) as SDO (Civil), Karsog.
The transfers have been ordered with immediate effect as part of the state government’s administrative restructuring.
