Solan: Five people, including three women, a child and the driver, were injured after a massive rockfall struck a moving car on the Banoh–Sarli Mor road in Kunihar area of Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district on Friday morning.
According to local sources, heavy debris and boulders suddenly came crashing down from the hillside, hitting the vehicle and leaving it badly damaged. The impact trapped the occupants inside the car.
Villagers from nearby areas rushed to the spot and rescued all five occupants before shifting them to the Civil Hospital in Kunihar for first aid. The injured are reported to have sustained injuries, though no fatalities have been reported.
The incident triggered panic in the area, with the road remaining partially blocked due to the debris. Authorities are assessing the situation and clearing the route, while motorists have been advised to exercise caution as continuous rainfall has increased the risk of landslides across the region.
