Shimla: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, accusing him of repeatedly misleading the House and lowering the dignity of the Chief Minister’s office. Jai Ram Thakur
Thakur said the BJP legislature party had submitted a privilege motion to the Speaker over what it described as the Chief Minister’s “false allegations” regarding disrespect to the national anthem. He said the party would also consider approaching the court if necessary.
He further alleged that the government had failed to fulfil its employment promises and criticised its outsourcing policies.
Referring to the reported death of a patient from Chudrehad in Palampur, Thakur held the state government responsible and alleged that the disruption of Himcare services had contributed to the tragedy. He demanded accountability from the government, calling the incident deeply distressing.
