Shimla/Solan, July 17
Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, will hold its 7th Convocation Ceremony on July 18 at the university auditorium, where 2,244 students will be conferred degrees across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes.
Himachal Pradesh Governor and JUIT Chancellor Kavinder Gupta will preside over the ceremony as the Chief Guest. JUIT CEO Manu Bhaskar Gaur and Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Sharma will also be present, along with members of the Governing Council, Academic Council, faculty, alumni, graduating students, parents and invited dignitaries.
The Vice-Chancellor will present the university’s annual report, highlighting achievements in academics, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, international collaborations, placements, patents, publications, startups and national and global rankings. The CEO is expected to urge graduates to embrace innovation, leadership, ethical values and lifelong learning, while the Governor will deliver the convocation address, encouraging students to pursue excellence with integrity and contribute to nation-building.
This year’s graduating batch includes 1,966 B.Tech., three Integrated M.Tech., 69 M.Tech., 116 M.Sc. and 90 Ph.D. graduates. Outstanding students will receive the Chancellor’s Gold Medal, Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medals and other academic honours. Graduates will also take the Convocation Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to professional ethics, lifelong learning and service to humanity.
