Shimla, June 23
In a major development following the sensational murder of Saraswati Paradise International Public School administrator Manisha Mittal, the Shimla district administration has frozen the school’s bank account and taken possession of its official records to ensure smooth functioning and prevent any administrative irregularities.
The action comes days after 41-year-old Manisha Mittal was shot dead outside the school premises in Sanjauli, a case that has sent shockwaves across Himachal Pradesh. Investigators are probing multiple angles, including an alleged property dispute linked to the management of the institution.
According to reports, the state government has stepped in to safeguard the interests of hundreds of students and staff members associated with the school. The administration has assumed control over key documents and financial operations while the investigation continues.
Police have already arrested two alleged shooters from Haryana in connection with the murder and recovered the weapons used in the crime. Officials have indicated that further arrests are possible as the conspiracy behind the killing is being investigated.
The school, which has been at the centre of a prolonged ownership and management dispute, will continue to function under administrative oversight to ensure that academic activities remain unaffected.
