Shimla, May 8: A total of 292 nomination papers have been filed for the upcoming three-tier Panchayat elections in 32 panchayats of Mashobra block over the last two days, officials said on Friday.
According to the Block Development Officer, Mashobra, the nominations include 85 for the post of pradhan, 84 for deputy pradhan and 123 for ward member posts.
On Friday alone, 39 nominations were filed for the post of pradhan, 45 for deputy pradhan and 75 for ward member.
The official said May 11 has been fixed as the last date for filing nominations till 3 pm. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted on May 12, while candidates can withdraw their nominations till May 15.
