Shimla, May 8: A two-day annual cultural programme organised by SFI at Himachal Pradesh University featured the screening of web series The White Truth, aimed at spreading awareness against drug abuse, particularly chitta addiction.
The series, prepared by Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti, received appreciation from the audience during its screening at the university auditorium.
The event showcased cultural performances representing different districts of the state, with students from various university departments presenting folk dances, plays and traditional art forms. Discussions were also held on eliminating social evils related to drug abuse.

Addressing students, he expressed concern over the weakening of scientific dialogue and the growing promotion of superstition in society. He said inequality and intolerance based on caste, religion, region and gender were creating serious challenges for society.
Raza said a progressive and developed society could move forward only through science and scientific temper, and urged students associated with progressive movements to prepare themselves to face these challenges.
