Shimla: The Congress has intensified preparations for the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections by activating war rooms in all four MC areas. At a meeting held at Rajiv Bhawan in Shimla, chief war room in-charge Harikrishan Himral issued key directions to party office-bearers and members regarding election strategy and coordination.
Himral asked all in-charges to maintain constant coordination with district and block Congress units and ensure that the state government’s achievements and welfare schemes reach the public effectively. He particularly highlighted decisions such as Minimum Support Price (MSP) for milk, ginger and other agricultural and horticultural produce, stating that these measures have strengthened the rural economy.
He said the government is continuously working in the interest of farmers and rural families and that the party is receiving positive feedback from the field. According to Himral, party workers are highly enthusiastic, and the Congress expects encouraging results in the civic body elections.
During the meeting, it was also decided that the war rooms would closely monitor social media and field activities while ensuring better coordination among different regions to make the election campaign more effective.
