Shimla, June 22: The Himachal Pradesh government on Sunday ordered a reshuffle in the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre, transferring and posting eight officers across key positions in the state police establishment.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, Inspector General of Police (Communication & Technical Services) Abhishek Dular has been posted as IGP (Law & Order), Shimla, against the post of Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order). He will also hold the additional charge of IGP (Armed Police & Training), Daroh.
In a corresponding move, Dr D.K. Chaudhary, IGP (Armed Police & Training), Daroh, has been transferred as IGP, Communication & Technical Services, Hamirpur.
At the district level, Sandeep Kumar Dhawal, SP Bilaspur, has been posted as SP Dehra, while Mayank Chaudhary, SP Dehra, has been shifted as SP (Leave Reserve), Police Headquarters, Shimla.
The government has also posted Ilma Afroz, who was awaiting posting after returning from ex-India study leave, as SP Nurpur.
Meanwhile, Ashok Ratan, SP Kangra at Dharamshala and holding additional charge of the Special Task Force, Dharamshala Zone, has been transferred as SP (Leave Reserve), Police Headquarters, Shimla.
Among younger officers, Abhishek (IPS-2021), Additional SP Shimla, has been appointed SP Bilaspur, while Gauravjeet Singh (IPS-2022), SDPO Nadaun, has been posted as Additional SP Shimla.
The transfers have been made with immediate effect on the recommendations of the Civil Services Board, according to the notification issued by the Home Department.
