Shimla, July 28
A Shimla Police’s Special Cell arrested a Krishna Nagar resident after recovering 10.34 grams of chitta (heroin) from an HRTC bus near Shoghi.
Acting on a specific tip-off, police intercepted the Chandigarh-Shimla bus and recovered the contraband from beneath the accused’s seat.
A case under Section 21 of the NDPS Act has been registered, and the accused has been remanded to police custody. Further investigation is underway to trace the source of the narcotics and identify other possible links in the drug network.
