Education Directorate directs schools to celebrate August 15 with full dignity; students to participate in district, sub-division and tehsil-level functions

The Himachal Pradesh Directorate of School Education has directed all government schools across the state to remain open on August 15 for the celebration of India’s Independence Day with due dignity and enthusiasm.
In an official order issued by the Directorate, all Deputy Directors of School Education and Principals of Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS) complexes have been instructed to ensure that Independence Day celebrations are conducted in every government school.
The department has also asked schools to ensure the participation of students and staff in official Independence Day functions organised at the tehsil, sub-division and district headquarters.
The Directorate has directed district authorities to issue necessary instructions to all schools under their jurisdiction and ensure strict compliance with the order. The circular emphasizes that schools must remain open on the occasion and actively participate in the national celebrations.
